Please note: It is a legal requirement for trustees to ensure that the details of their charity are correct and kept updated.
IMPORTANT: Some details cannot be changed without the consent of the Charities Regulator, such as (but not limited to) the charity’s name and the charity’s charitable purpose.
In order to update or amend your charity’s details, please log in to your charity’s account using the orange ‘Log in’ button below or at the top right corner of the page and update your details via the ‘Update Existing’ tab.
You will need the user name and password chosen when setting up your user account.

What does the 'eye' symbol mean?
What does the eye symbol mean?
Next to some of the information you submit there will be an "eye" symbol.
For organisations that are already registered, it indicates that this information will automatically appear on the the Public Register.
If you are in the process of applying for registration, this will only appear on the Public Register if your registration is approved.

Changing the Charity’s Name
It is an offence to change the name of your charity without the consent of the Charities Regulator.
To change the name of your charity, one of the charity trustees must submit a request to the Charities Regulator via your online account.
You should also consult section 42(2) of the Charities Act 2009 to see the criteria the Charities Regulator will apply in assessing your request for a change of name.

Requesting Charity's documents be unpublished
If you believe that there is a compelling reason why any item of information that you enter (in the fields with the 'eye' symbol) should not appear on the public Register of Charities, please contact us for further information on how to proceed.
Write or email, setting out the reason why your charity wants it to remain unpublished.
We will then consider your request and contact you.
